Spring 5K Training Week 1

Our Spring 5K training officially started this week as we ran our first 5K training group run together on Saturday afternoon. We will meet regularly once a week in the Saturday afternoon in Van Saun Park. 5K is friendly distance for both adults and kids so it can be a good family activity. Many beginners choose to use run and walk method so we will focus mostly on this group of runners through out the journal. To implement this method, we need to have a good tool to help us with the interval timing. We recommend RunKeeper for this purpose since it has a very good interval feature and has the ability to track the running route at the same time. See below how to setup interval workout in Runkeeper.
